Hi! My name is María! Originally from Spain, after studying a Biology Degree I left home to explore the world.

Since I can remember, I have always loved nature. Wanting to protect it, and share my passion, I decided to show people how beautiful our natural world is through tourism, writing, and photography.

As a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer I have spent many hours in the water, teaching people how to scuba dive and guiding scuba and snorkeling expeditions.

Working with local captains in Baja California, I aim to help protect the beautiful nature we have here by raising awareness and supporting conservation.

La Ventana Marine Safari

We´ll go looking for wildlife in La Ventana Bay and Cerralvo, home to dolphins, sea lions, mobula rays, whales in season…

Occasional visitors include orcas, sperm whales, pilot whales…

Vibrant reefs and sea lions relaxing on the rocks. Many species travel through the bay, an opportunity to very special encounters

Snorkel or scuba diving in La Paz

Day trip to Espíritu Santo Island, next to La Paz, an UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Go snorkeling or scuba diving with sea lions in their home at the famous Los Islotes colony!

We can also scuba dive in shipwrecks, where turtles are found napping, or visit beautiful coral and rocky reefs, full of fish, birds hunting and macro life.

Gray whales, marlins and more

The Pacific Coast of Baja California is a vibrant ecosystem and home to many amazing creatures.

You can visit the friendly Gray Whales in the winter season, or discover the wild beauty of the Pacific, watching marlins and dorados hunting sardine bait balls. during the fall. Unforgettable experiences!

¡La aventura de tu vida! ! ! ! Gracias por los recuerdos invaluables que creó para nuestra familia y amigos durante nuestro tiempo en Baja. María Salinas nos llevó a dos salidas diferentes mientras estábamos de visita. Uno a Espíritu Santo y el otro a Cerralvo. Experimentar estas dos islas únicas a través de los ojos conocedores de María fue lo más destacado de nuestra estadía. Tuvimos encuentros cercanos con leones marinos, orcas, jorobadas y más. Su entusiasmo fue la guinda del pastel. No pierdas la oportunidad de hacer un viaje con ella mientras estés aquí. ¡Le daríamos a este tour 10 estrellas si fuera una elección! Muchas gracias María. Elegimos a María Salinas como nuestra guía para dos viajes. Fuimos a Espíritu Santo para ver la reserva marina, nadar con leones marinos y hacer snorkel en un hermoso arrecife, y a la isla Ceralvo para observar ballenas y hacer snorkel en uno de los arrecifes más abundantes imaginables. Ambos viajes fueron geniales. María es muy extrovertida y entusiasta. Estaba tan emocionada como nosotros de ver orcas y ballenas jorobadas y hacer snorkel en los arrecifes. Ella era muy profesional, tenía capitanes de barco muy capacitados y brindó una experiencia muy personalizada.

Mi esposo y yo nos inscribimos en un tour con Salinas Adventures para hacer snorkel con amigos. Cuando llegamos, María se llevó una gran sorpresa. Había orcas en el área y ¿estaríamos interesados en encontrarlas? . ¡SÍ! Los encontramos y nadamos junto a ellos para vivir una experiencia única en la vida. El enfoque de María y Pablo fue no inmiscuirse en la vida silvestre y ser respetuosos con nuestro medio ambiente. Aprendimos mucho de ellos y fuimos a ver ballenas grises en la misma excursión. El snorkel que hicimos más tarde también fue una experiencia maravillosa. Proporcionaron un fantástico almuerzo de ceviche y bebidas frías. Pensaron en todo. Qué guía tan maravillosa es María. Su conocimiento y experiencia fueron muy apreciados, así como sus habilidades en el idioma inglés.

Maria is the most amazing guide. Her and her captain helped us see the most amazing wildlife during our visit. She was prepared with everything and so knowledgeable. She gave us the best tips for entering the water slowly and quietly to not scare away the amazing sea life below us. It was a once in a life time experience. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back in the future.

I highly recommend Salina’s Adventures! Maria is awesome, she will make sure that you have a great time. The tour was well organized from the beginning to end – easy communication, boat and gear clean and in great condition, super nice lunch, snacks+drinks and most importantly Maria is very knowledgeable and respectful towards the wildlife. We saw so many animals – mobulas, rays, dolphins, whales, sea lions, sea turtles and a beautiful coral reef with lots of life. Snorkeling and swimming with the big swarms of mobulas is a very unique and unforgettable experience!
